The Kentucky River Area Development District is a quasi-governmental agency working with city and county governments in the KRADD area to improve the quality of life for our citizens. KRADD serves as a representative of local units of government and citizens throughout the area as a communication network for cities, counties, state and federal governments.

Aging & Independent Living Program
KRADD supports many aging programs such as supportive services at the Senior Citizens Centers. Then we also support 15 sites where hot lunches are prepared 5 days a week.

With the recent re-establishment of the Elk population in our area, viewing of the Elk herds is becoming quite a tourist attraction. Buckhorn Lake, Carr Creek Lake and the Natural Bridge State Parks provide camping, fishing and trail exploration.
